ABSTRACT:
A manual actuator is attached to a conventional gate valve commonly used in the drainage line of a recreational vehicle. The actuator includes a handle which turns through an arcuate slot moving a link member around the slot in such a manner as to open or close the valve. Additionally, in the alternate embodiment, the handle defines a recess adapted to receive a tire iron or other suitable tool having an edge approximately 1.27 cm across for greater leverage and the handle is also adapted to allow the use of the gate valve actuator with differently sized gate valves.
