ABSTRACT:
A gate for a check-out aisle, which displays point-of-purchase merchandise when the gate is in both open and closed positions. The gate has an outer frame that is hingedly mounted along one edge to an edge of the check-out counter, enabling the gate to swing open adjacent to the check-out aisle, or closed across the check-out aisle. An inner frame comprising a lattice face for hanging the point-of-purchase merchandise is pivotally mounted to the outer frame so that the inner frame will rotate about a vertical axis within the outer frame in order to display the merchandise to customers when the gate is both open and closed. The second embodiment provides for a pair of such gates which are hingedly mounted adjacent respective check-out counters so that they can be moved to lie across a double check-out lane that is between the counters.
