ABSTRACT:
The invention presents a gas sensor low in cost and easy to form a terminal member, a gas sensor cap connected to the gas sensor for sending an output signal to an external device, and a gas sensor unit capable of holding a stable electrically connected state between the terminal member of the gas sensor and the gas sensor cap. The gas sensor100of the invention includes a gas detecting element120and a terminal member150. The terminal member150is made of a plate material bent and processed into a predetermined shape, and includes a tubular output-side terminal portion151electrically connected to a cap terminal211for sending an output signal of the gas detecting element120, which is the output-side terminal portion151expanding elastically in diameter when connected to the cap terminal211, and a tubular element-side terminal portion153connected electrically to an inside electrode112, which is the element-side terminal portion153inserted into the gas detecting element120while contracting elastically in diameter.
