ABSTRACT:
A gas sensing element having an oxide semiconductor element is provided with lead wires partially embedded therein. The lead wires are formed of a nickel core and a cover layer of at least 5.mu. in thickness and made of platinum or platinum alloy containing from 1 to 10 percent low catalytic metal.
