ABSTRACT:
An NMR apparatus is provided, which is capable of being used for mass spectrometry and structure determination of a gas sample. The NMR apparatus includes: a sample vaporization unit1having a sample vaporization chamber1a; an ionization unit2having a ionization chamber2aand connected to one end of the sample vaporization unit1so that the ionization chamber2acommunicates with the sample vaporization chamber1a; a long-length pipe3connected to one end of the ionization unit2so that the inside of the pipe3communicates with the ionization chamber2a; a cooling unit4having a cooling chamber4aand connected to one end of the long-length pipe3so that the cooling chamber4acommunicates with the inside of the long-length pipe3; a superconducting magnet5having a tubular portion5ainto which the long-length pipe3is inserted, the superconducting magnet5being capable of applying a magnetic field and a gradient magnetic field in the axial direction of the long-length pipe3; an ion guide6which decelerates gas ions; a mass analysis unit7which is used for mass screening of gas ions; and a nuclear magnetic force amplification unit8which amplifies the nuclear magnetic force of gas ions.
