ABSTRACT:
A surge arrestor is provided having two electrodes attached at opposite ends of an insulator tube. Portions of the respective electrodes extend toward each other to define a gap therebetween. At least one conductor is attached to the inner surface of the tube in the vicinity of the gap. The conductor is completely separated from the electrodes and covers a substantial portion of the inner surface of the tube.
