ABSTRACT:
A gaming machine and a gaming system that may encourage a player to continue to play a game even though the player almost gives up winning a progressive jackpot are provided. After a part of bet coins is added to the progressive jackpot, if it is determined that the progressive jackpot is won (S47: Yes), a number of coins or the like equivalent to the amount of the progressive jackpot accumulated so far is paid out (S48). On the other hand, for example, one game number is determined from among three game numbers to trigger occurrence of a special combination. After a total game number N reaches the thus-determined game number (S44: Yes), a number of coins or the like equivalent to a predetermined payout amount is paid out (S45) upon winning of the special combination (S44-2: Yes).
