ABSTRACT:
Fused oxide type glasses produced by flame hydrolysis are described. These glasses are composed of P.sub.2 O.sub.5 and, optionally, SiO.sub.2. P.sub.2 O.sub.5 is present in an amount of at least 2% by weight.
