Compounds of formula ##STR1## having a double bond in one of the positions indicated by the dotted lines and wherein symbol R represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl radical, are useful ingredients for the preparation of perfuming compositions and perfumed articles, to which they impart odor notes of the woody-amber type.
