Novel thiophenes of the formula ##SPC1##
Wherein X, Y and Z individually are hydrogen, lower alkyl, nitro, fluoro, chloro or bromo; R.sup.1 is hydrogen, alkyl or aryl and R.sup.2 is haloalkyl, are useful for the prevention or cure of fungal infections.
