ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a functionalized styrenic polymer or copolymer which contains functionalized stryene moiety having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, alkyl, primary and secondary halo alkyl groups, and R.sub.2 is: ##STR2## where n is an integer of from 2 to about 10, R.sub.3 is independently hydrogen or an alkyl group and X is NH, O or S. The novel copolymers of the present invention have particular utility in forming polymer blends. For example, the amine and alcohol functionalized polymers can be used as compatabilizers by reacting them with a carboxylic acid containing polymer or the like.
