ABSTRACT:
A fuel pressure regulator is shown as having two distinct and variable chambers sharing, as a common wall therebetween, a pressure responsive diaphragm which controls the position of a valve actuator depending upon the pressure differential existing across the diaphragm with such pressure differential being reflective of the pressure differential existing as from the magnitude of the pressure of the fuel in a first of the two chambers to the magnitude of the pressure within the second of the two chambers which is at ambient atmospheric pressure; a flapper type valve openable by the valve actuator serves to control the flow of fuel into the first of the two chambers from where the pressure regulated fuel flows as to associated fuel metering apparatus.
