ABSTRACT:
A fuel injector10may comprise a valve body14having a fuel path, a valve seat23fixed to a downstream end of the valve body, and a valve25that opens and closes a fuel injection hole of the valve seat23. The valve may be housed within the valve body in a manner allowing sliding. An armature31may be attached to an upstream end of the valve25, and a valve closing element32may be attached to a downstream end of the valve25. A core21may be disposed at an upstream side of the armature31. A downstream end surface of the core21faces an upstream end surface of the armature31. When the valve25opens the fuel injection hole, the downstream end surface of the core21makes contact with the upstream end surface of the armature31. A non-magnetic ring20may be disposed at an outer circumference side of the armature31and the core21. The non-magnetic ring20may extend as far as an upstream side of the solenoid coil18, and the solenoid coil18may be wound directly around an outer circumference of the non-magnetic ring20.
