ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to froth flotation of coal.
According to the invention a predominantly paraffinic residual oil having a cut point of at least 190.degree. C. at atmospheric pressure is used as a "collector" for the froth flotation of minerals. A preferred oil is a coal spray oil used in coke oven technology. The "collector" is for use with a "frother" such as a polyglycol ether.
