ABSTRACT:
A front structure1of a vehicle body has a shock absorber receiver13projecting forward from a dash panel3, which is located at a position corresponding to a shock absorber8in a vehicle width direction and in a vehicle height direction. In the front structure1of the vehicle body, the shock absorber receiver13restricts backward movement of the shock absorber8upon a collision of a vehicle2, so that a collision load acting on the shock absorber8can be efficiently dispersed to a framework of the vehicle body while being transmitted through the shock absorber receiver13to the dash panel3. When the shock absorber8moves backward upon the collision of the vehicle2, the shock absorber8comes into contact with the shock absorber receiver13, and the distance becomes shorter between support points of the shock absorber8than before, so as to enhance flexural rigidity and reaction force.
