ABSTRACT:
A front passenger seat airbag apparatus12includes an airbag15, a case25supporting the airbag15, and an airbag cover50covering the airbag15. The case25includes a tubular inner wall portion29. A plurality of claw portions37are arranged along a vehicle widthwise direction on the upper edge of a front inner wall31and a rear inner wall32of the tubular inner wall portion29. The airbag cover50includes a tubular outer wall portion53having a plurality of engaging holes57. The tubular outer wall portion53is engaged with the case25by inserting and engaging the claw portions37in the engaging holes57. The front inner wall31and the rear inner wall32each include connected portions66, to each of which a claw portion37is connected, and non-connected portions65, to which no claw portion37is connected, along the arrangement direction of the claw portions37. Two non-connected portions65are located on both sides of each connected portion66. At least one of the non-connected portions65has cutout portions61, 62that extend from the upper end of the corresponding inner wall to a position lower than the tips37A of the claw portions37.
