ABSTRACT:
A facing material for a power transmission—absorption assembly is shown and described. In one embodiment, the facing material includes a plurality of first channels having a first, deep depth and a plurality of second channels having a second, shallow depth. One or more of the plurality of second channels may be superimposed or in fluid communication with the first channels to enable fluid to flow across the surface12cand through the first channel to achieve the desired fluid flow characteristics. The second channels may be defined by a connector that has varying shapes to further facilitate the desired fluid flow characteristics. The material may be used in a power transmission—absorption environment such as on a blocker synchronizer ring, clutch plate or the like.
