ABSTRACT:
A frequency tracking adaptive synchronous vibration suppression apparatus for suppressing vibrations in a dynamic system subject to synchronous disturbance includes calculating the sine and cosine quadrature components of the energy representative of the synchronous component of the vibration induced by the synchronous disturbance; combining the sine and cosine quadrature components to obtain the energy representative of the synchronous component of the vibration; generating the Fourier coefficient portions of a correction command from the combination of the sine and cosine quadrature components; computing from the sine and cosine quadrature components and the Fourier coefficients the frequency of the synchronous components of the vibration; and modulating the Fourier coefficient portion of the correction command with the frequency of the synchronous components to obtain the full correction command tuned to the frequency of the synchronous disturbance.
