ABSTRACT:
Initiating compounds having the following formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 in an substituted or unsubstituted aryl radical and wherein R.sub.2 is hydrogen or alkyl are useful in initiating polymerization reaction of ethylenically unsaturated monomers susceptible to free radical polymerization.
