ABSTRACT:
An improved frame for supporting a living plant wreath is made of generally concentric rings stacked in two or three parallel planes interconnected by ribs with either a number of attached candle holders or spacer legs or both. Frames with generally concentric rings occupying three parallel planes have at least one upper ring, one lower ring and a pair of intermediate rings that are interconnected by ribs. Frames with generally concentric rings occupying two parallel planes consist of at least three rings, a pair of coplanar rings in combination with a ring in a second parallel plane, that are interconnected by ribs. The candle holders are coiled, spaced circumferentially along the frame and coupled to two other rings such that an inserted candle appears centrally located on the wreath but is concealed from sight on the wreath when the holder does not contain a candle. The spacer legs are spaced circumferentially along the frame and coupled to a ring in the lowermost of the parallel planes so that wreath plants receive adequate aeration when placed on a surface. A method for constructing a living plant wreath including the improved frame and a drip bag for irrigation is also described.
