ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to a quaternized fragrance extender having the formula ##STR1## wherein n is an integer having a value of from 1 to 3; R is alkylene containing from 3 to 6 carbon atoms and is optionally substituted with lower alkyl; R.sub.1 is alkyl containing from 8 to 22 carbon atoms; R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are each independently alkyl containing from 1 to 22 carbon atoms and X.sup.- is an anion which quaternized compound is capable of complexing with volatile, odoriferous compounds of between 3 and 60 carbon atoms having an acidic hydrogen atom in its structure and to the complexed compound formed and the use of said complexed compound in perfume and other commercial products including cosmetics, cleaning agents, paints, soaps, deodorants, plastics and rubbers.
