ABSTRACT:
A folding chair comprises left and right A-frames which are connected by fore and aft jointed cross braces. Each A-frame comprises two legs which are pivotally connected at their upper ends. The cross braces are pivotally attached to the legs of the A-frames at the lower end of the braces, and connected to the legs at the upper end of the cross braces with short links forming the upper joint of the cross brace strut. The seat and back of the chair are pivotally connected to one another. The chair folds into a bundle having a length substantially equal to that of the legs of the A-frames.
