ABSTRACT:
The fluorophosphate glass of the present invention comprising P.sub.2 O.sub.5, metal fluorides which may be partly replaced by metal oxides, and CuO fully satisfies the tramsmittance required for a near-infrared absorption filter and has excellent weather resistance allowing for the practical use.
