ABSTRACT:
This invention provides a mixture of fluoroalkylated fullerene compounds, preferably perfluoroalkylated fullerene compounds, comprising the formula, (C.sub.60+2n) R.sup.1.sub.m R.sup.2.sub.b Z.sub.y, wherein R.sup.1 is a branched or straight chain hydrocarbon or aromatic hydrocarbon of from 1 to about 100 carbon atoms; R.sup.2 is a branched or straight chain fluoroalkyl group of from 1 to about 100 carbon atoms; Z is one or more selected from H, F and Cl; n is an integer from 0 to about 470; m is an integer from 0 to about 24+n; b is an integer from 1 to about 24+n; and y is an integer from 0 to about 35+n.
