ABSTRACT:
Fluoroalkylated amphiphilic ligands of bipyridine (I) that form complexes with platinum and palladium are disclosed. ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently a hydrogen atom, or a fluoroalkylated or hydrocarbon chain, provided at least one of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is a fluoroalkylated chain, and W represents a methylene, ester, ether, carbonyl or amide group.
