ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a fluorinated alkylalkoxylate of Formula (1)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?Rf—(CH2CF2)n(CH2)m—(CH2CH2O)p—XH  (1)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?wherein Rfis a linear or branched perfluoroalkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; n is an integer from 1 to 4; X is O; m is an integer from 1 to 6; and p is an integer from 1 to about 40; and a method of altering the surface behavior of a liquid with the fluorinated alkylalkoxylate of Formula (1).
