ABSTRACT:
A blend of refrigerant with at least one fluorinated hydrocarbon, comprising at least one graft of a perfluoroalkene or a perfluoroalkylvinyl ether onto at least one hydrocarbon having at least four (4) carbon atoms, the number of carbon atoms in the hydrocarbon and the number of grafts of the perfluoro compound being such as to provide a lubricant which has an SUS viscosity at 100.degree. F. of at least 50 and a pour point of less than about -10.degree. C. is disclosed for use in compression refrigeration.
