ABSTRACT:
A fluid pressure cylinder can apply a fastening force to an axially movable reciprocating rod. A reciprocating rod13is mounted in a case main body10so as to be reciprocable in a forward direction and a backward direction, and two lock units16aand16bare incorporated in the case main body10, and the lock units16aand16binclude: lock sleeves18aand18bmounted axially movably and having taper surfaces22aand22b; and retainers19aand19bholding steel balls21aand21bthat are fitted in the reciprocating rod13axially movably and engaged with the taper surfaces. A fastening cylinder41that contains a fastening rod so as to be reciprocable in a fastening direction and a fastening release direction is attached to the case main body10, a fastening surface44contacting with the lock sleeves18aand18bbeing formed in the fastening rod, and the reciprocating rod13is fastened by the two lock units16aand16b.
