ABSTRACT:
A filter utilizing porous filtering media and electrostatic fields to remove particulate matter from dielectric fluids. The electric fields are established by electrodes which are separated by spacers which are of different types so as to allow any desired combination of positive or negative charges on combinations of plates by means of electrical contact or insulation from current-carrying bus bars.
