ABSTRACT:
A mobile base assembly wherein a plurality of wheels12are attached to a frame14for movably supporting the frame14on a support surface16and an anchor mechanism10lifts the wheels12from the support surface16and anchors the frame14to the support surface16. A pair of spaced plates (20or22) are attached to the frame14and an anchor member34is pivotally mounted between the plates (20or22) for pivotal movement between an anchor position (FIG.4) and a retracted position (FIG.3). A lever70is pivotally mounted between the plates (20or22) and presents a cam72for engaging and pivoting the anchor member34against the biasing reaction of a spring60from the retracted position to the anchor position. A foot40is attached to a foot flange extending from the anchor member34and has a base42for engaging the support surface16in the anchor position.
