The present invention is directed to a process for the production of a flexible polyurethane foam comprising reacting an organic polyisocyanate and a polyol, in the presence of a blowing agent, a catalyst, and a foam stabilizer, the improvement wherein a foam of increased load bearing is obtained by including in the reaction mixture from about 8 to about 25 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of said polyol of a mixture comprising
