ABSTRACT:
A dual mode flash unit for a camera for selectively actuating either an etronic flash tube or a high-voltage flash bulb. The flash unit includes a high-voltage supply for selectively applying a high-voltage pulse to an electronic flash tube during normal operation and for applying a high-voltage pulse to a high-voltage flash bulb when same is inserted into the electronic flash unit.
