ABSTRACT:
A flameproofing additive for thermoplastic synthetic resin compositions comprises 60-30 wt. % of a lower melting, flame retardant organic bromine compound which melts at 80.degree.-200.degree. C. and 40-70 wt. % of a higher melting, flame retardant organic bromine compound which melts at 280.degree.-400.degree. C., each of the flame retardant, organic bromine compounds being thermally stable at the processing temperatures to which the thermoplastic synthetic resin is to be exposed after being combined with the flameproofing additive.
