Compound of the formula ##EQU1## WHEREIN R represents alkylene, cycloalkylene or alkylenecycloalkylene, R' represents an alkylene group of 1 to 10 carbons, X represents oxygen or sulfur, hal represents chlorine or bromine and n represents an integer from 0 to 5, are useful as flame retardants for material and synthetic material.
