A flame retardant polycarbonate resin composition comprising a polycarbonate resin, a nuclear substituted benzoic acid containing at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of thiosalicylic acid and dihydroxy benzoic acid, and tetrabromobisphenol A or ##STR1## .
