ABSTRACT:
A process for the production of a high melting point thermoplastic polymer flame-proofed by melt-blending with a lactam-impregnated red phosphorus as the essential retardant at temperatures above 200.degree. C. and the resulting flame-proofed thermoplastic polymer.
