ABSTRACT:
A fixing device100includes a fixing belt102, a heat source105, a support member104, a pressure roller103, and a reinforcing member106. The fixing belt102has a metal sleeve. The heat source105is provided within the fixing belt102.The support member104has a contact surface104athat is in sliding contact with the inside surface of the fixing belt102. The pressure roller103forms a nip with the bottom surface104abetween which the fixing belt102is sandwiched and pressed. The pressure roller103drives the fixing belt102to rotate. The reinforcing member106has a surface contacting the support member104on which a plurality of irregularities is formed. The reinforcing member106is positioned on a side opposite the support member to the bottom surface104a, and receives a pressure force applied by the pressure roller103.
