ABSTRACT:
The gas admitted into the combustion chamber (10) is compressed by relative sliding of the cylinder (3) and the sleeve (4). Ignition is effected by a spark plug (13). During compression, the piston (35) is fixed in position by a retaining ring (32). The cylinder (3)/sleeve (4) assembly is connected to the housing (1) of the apparatus by return springs.
The apparatus is very suitable for fastening straps to steel or concrete.
