ABSTRACT:
A sensing device for use with a fishing rod comprises a body, support means connected to the body and adapted to secure the sensing device to a fishing rod, sensing means extending from the body which, in use, contact the fishing line of a fishing rod, the sensing means being mounted in such a way that any force exerted on the line is transferred to the sensing member and thus to the body, and electronic means posiitoned within the body and adapted to receive the force exerted on the sensing means, and transform that force into a visual and/or audio indication to show that a pull is being exerted on the fishing line.
