ABSTRACT:
Fish lifting devices using the principle of the Archimedes' screw are known. Such devices have used a latticework screw entry portion to dewater the screw at the point of entry of the fish. The present invention provides a venting system which causes a fish-attracting current at the entry to the device and further substitutes more economical dewatering slots in the outer shell for the lattice-work screws.
