ABSTRACT:
Composition and apparatus are disclosed for a dry-chemical fire extinguisher. The dry-chemical composition has a particle size less than 5 .mu.m and may be in combination with a flow agent, a dessicant or other anti-caking agent. The fire extinguisher apparatus is a transparent polymer container with a delivery head containing multiple openings. Manual compression of the container forces the release of a fire-extinguishing cloud of the dry-chemical composition. Among the most preferred dry-chemical fire-extinguishing compositions is monoammonium phosphate.
