ABSTRACT:
A cable is described which has improved flame/fire and oil/abrasion resistant properties. The cable is halogen free since the conductor insulation and all sheaths are of the self-extinguishing type. A metal screen braided at an angle between 35.degree. and 45.degree. formed between the individual wires and a plane at right angles to the cable axis over a vulcanized filler sheath provides protection of the cable conductors during fires. Outermost there is placed a thin oil and abrasion resistant extruded layer of nylon.
