ABSTRACT:
A plurality of fin groups12each comprising parallel plate fins14are arranged on two straight tube portions11aof a fin fixing hairpin tube11longitudinally of the tube portions at a spacing, by forming two tube inserting holes14aas spaced apart in each of the plate fins14and inserting the two straight tube portions11athrough the respective holes14aof the plate fins14. The hairpin tube11is enlarged with use of a fluid to fixedly fit the plate fins14of the fin groups12around the straight tube portions11aof the tube11. The straight tube portions11aof the tube11each have a finless part13provided between each pair of adjacent fin groups12. The finless part13of each straight tube portion11abears clamp marks19on the outer peripheral surface thereof. A heat exchanger comprising a heat exchanger finned tube10thus constructed is adapted to diminish leakage of the refrigerant and achieves a desired refrigeration efficiency.
