ABSTRACT:
A filter for determining the cross-correlation of optically transmitted signals is disclosed which comprises a ladder structure of amplifier cells3and multipliers4. Such a filter structure is integrated into a receiver for optical signals, the receiver being adaptable to the conditions of the transmission link through a recursive algorithm.
