ABSTRACT:
A photographic element contains a filter dye of the Formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 each independently represent a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group; L.sup.1, L.sup.2 and L.sup.3 each independently represent substituted or unsubstituted methine groups; M.sup.+ represents a proton or an inorganic or organic cation.
