ABSTRACT:
An extrudable vinylidene chloride composition is useful in packaging films where controlled CO.sub.2 and O.sub.2 transmission rates benefit the packaging of products such as gassing cheese. The composition, and film made therefrom, comprises 100 parts by weight of at least one vinylidene chloride copolymer; between 4 and 15 parts by weight of a plasticizer; and between 4 and 15 parts by weight of an acrylate/styrene copolymer; wherein the total amount of plasticizer and acrylate/styrene copolymer comprises at least 9 parts by weight.
