ABSTRACT:
Film loading methods and apparatus using an overstressed scroll former and film housings. In the methods, a filmstrip is loaded into a housing and the filmstrip is propelled into the housing. During the propelling, the filmstrip is curled into a roll within a scroll former radially compressing the roll. The scroll former is overstressed during or after the curling.
