ABSTRACT:
The present invention is an imaging element which includes a support and at least one layer formed from, (A) film forming binder, and (B) non-film forming polymeric particles. The film forming binder is formed from a coating solution of carboxylic acid containing vinyl polymer or copolymer having a glass transition temperature of greater than 50.degree. C. and an acid number of 60 to 260, the carboxylic acid containing vinyl polymer or copolymer is reacted with ammonia or amine so that the coating solution has a pH of from 7 to 10.
