ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to a ultra high frequency (UHF) coaxial connector that can be applied to the end of a coaxial cable in the field by an inexperienced layman using only pliers. More particularly, the invention consists of a coupling nut having internal threads for mating with an antenna jack or the like, a shell around which the coupling nut fits and a center contact unit which fits into the shell. Included in the unit is a center contact into which is positioned the coaxial cables center conductor and, surrounding the contact, a dielectric which fits into the shell trapping the coaxial cable's braided shield thereinbetween.
