ABSTRACT:
A fibre optic switch is constructed by having two flat springs each of which carries optical fibres which end at one edge of the spring. The two spring ends are close to each other and at 90.degree., so that by suitable positioning of the springs any fibre on one spring can be coupled to any fibre on the other spring.
